The Undertow Project explores the sea in motion, its force, turbulence, and shifting edge conditions. Gestural marks and layered textures echo the physical behaviour of water as it surges, breaks, and pulls back. These works hold the energy of direct encounter, where surface, depth, and movement collide, forming the visceral foundation from which all other series emerged.
